What's up, ketchup?

As a springboard for more posts... let's see what I've been up to in the recent weeks! :))

My good friend Jeah taught me how to make vector art in Photoshop the way she does it and I decided to put my newly acquired skills to practice. Here's my first try based on a sketch I made for a friend. (Please be nice.)

Next is a sketch of Jeah. Because not only is she a talented artist... she's also uber adorable! And her reactions to having her ears pierced were priceless. She was practically trembling with glee and I couldn't help drawing her in chibi form. It's just a rough sketch but it serves its purpose.

I still haven't finished it but this is what it looks like so far in vector form. I asked for a little help from the model herself  (and I may have to, again). ;)

On top of that, because I have a short attention span and not enough patience to focus on one project, I'm also working on another slightly different drawing:

So yeah, you could say I've been pleasantly distracted the past few weeks. Haha. Too much bottled cup creative energy, I think. These sketches were all done in pencil on a small unlined notebook I've resolved to bring around. I got into a bad habit of doodling on almost all my readings and notes. I realized all those note lines and lengthy paragraphs obscured the potentials of my babies to become anything more than everyday doodles. But my not-so-new notebook takes care of that bit now.:D

Hmm... if I could only get my hands on a good personal scanner...

(All photos were taken by the author on her crappy camera phone.)
