Weekend get( not so )away

Now and then, we all need to take a break. I myself am feeling so much better thanks to my wonderful weekend away...

September 24, 2011; Saturday
After our NSTP synthesis session ended early, I decided to spend some time with Aika:

First, I went to Moon Leaf and got my daily fix of Wintermelon Milk Tea with pudding before heading to McDonald's for a full meal. It was nice. I have always loved breakfast and, living in the dorm now, I have come to miss it. The pancakes and the hashbrown were delicious. Plus, the milk tea made it even more refreshing. And yes, I was sitting by myself. I was alone but it wasn't lonely at all. I felt a certain degree of peace despite the loud music echoing through the restaurant. So, I pulled out a book I was currently reading, The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, and my morning was set.

Breakfast at McDonald's Katipunan

As if the fastfood chains along Katips weren't enough, Fully Booked opened at the newly constructed Regis Building the Friday just before! Yay! Bookstores are like heaven to me and I knew this was just the start of a phenomenal relationship with literature. But, books aren't the only things I love and, among the items they had on sale, I found this:

The photo says it all :>

Later that night, my creative juices started flowing once again and I added some more motivational posts on my cork board:

ARSA Sophomores Batch Outing at Eight Waves Waterpark & Hotel, San Rafael, Bulacan

The 15 or 16 lucky sophomores with Sir Migoy :))

You've probably heard it many times before but, it was Legen... wait for it... DARY! On the bus ride to and fro (yes, we had a whole 40-50 seater aircon bus to ourselves), we played cards and sang songs, roadtrip style.>:)

Playing Monopoly Deal with Bea and Co.

When we finally got to the waterpark, we explored all their different pools and made the most of the scenery. Here is one example where we pretended we were running along the beach:

Convincing, isn't it?;)

Eventually we couldn't hold it anymore. The urge to dive into any of the many pools was too great. So, we splashed around until 5pm.:D

Yes, literally splashing around :))

And that concludes my weekend! Hope this was enough to help me get through the hell weeks to come. Thanks for the memories guys! Sa mauulit!(^o^)/
